Endoscopically there is an orifice in the duodenal bulb. Radiological studies reveal a retroperitoneal fistula connected to the mid- duodenum. The patient had a history of duodenal ulcer disease, which allows to suspect a former ulcer perforation being causative to the fistula. See also ERCP duodeno-biliary fistula. |
