Chronic papillitis Chronic papillitis
Papilla with polypoid mucosal lesions. Histology reveals a chronic papillitis with intensive scarring. The papilla is solid and vulnerable on palpation. There is a minor hemorrhage after tender manipulation. Biopsy of the firm tissue reveals chronic papillitis with fibrotic changes. There is a history of frequent cholangitis.
