"Lost stent"
Lost stent Magnification
Implantation of a plastic stent to secure biliary flow in a patient, whose biliary duct is not yet cleared of all stones. After a few days, at the time of the second examination the stent is not found in place anymore. The plein x- ray shows the stent ventral to the left iliac bone. A further couple of days later the stent leaves the body peranally. To the left an overview is shown, to the right a magnification.
