Portal-hypertensive colopathy
portal-hypertensive colopathy Initially there are some vascular spiders in the colon. They appear the first time after esophageal sclerotherapy for acute hemorrhage. Later plenty can be found throughout the colon causing recurrent colonic hemorrhages. Portal hypertension occurred after hepatitis B induced cirrhosis had developed. After TIPS- implantation the vascular spiders disappeared completely.
