Moderate changes
The endoscopic picture of ulcerative colitis is manifold and includes minor changes but also extensive, mucosal lesions.
Granular mucosa Mucosal erythema
Granular mucosa with edema, erythema and rarefied vessels. Erythema and invisible vessels in the upper part of the picture. In the lower part neighbouring healthy mucosa with clear cut margins.
Mucosal hemorrhage Hemorrhage and mucosal edema
Hemorrhagic mucosa. There are some singular erosions, vessels are missing. Hemorrhagic mucosa with mucosal edema.
