Carcinoma of the cecum prior and after chemotherapy
Cecal carcinoma prior to chemotherapy Necrosis after chemotherapy
Large carcinoma of the cecum, which is surgically not amenable. The tumor comprises nearly the whole cecum. After chemotherapy the tumor is smaller, now there is only minor obstruction of the cecum. Note the typical, chemotherapy- induced tumor necrosis (left lower part of the photo).
