PEG - covered by regenerative gastritic epithelium
PEG- grown in PEG- gown in with water injected via the tube
The photos show a PEG 2 years after application completely overgrown by gastric mucosa. The bumper is no longer visible, but covered by ulcerous mucosa. On the left photo an orifice can be suspected. To verify this suspicion water is injected via the PEG. It reaches the stomach as a small spurting jet stream (right picture).
Move the mouse arrow over the right image to highlight the water jet.
  • Wasserstrahl = jetstream (of injected water)
  • Umrisse der Halteplatte = outline of the bumper
