Xanthelasma An esophageal xanthelasma is an extremely rare entity, literature is very scarce. Endoscopic features are a white and yellowish tumor with a smooth surface. Histology reveals typical foam cells. Etiology is unknown. A biopsy is compulsory to rule out early esopha- geal cancer. Gastric xanthelasma are far more frequent.
