In this case the epitheleal metaplasia extends about over 7 cm in the lower part of the esophagus. Any metaplasia above 3,5 cm in length is called long segment Barretīs esohagus. Like in Short-Barrett`s Esophagus finger-like areas of metaplasia are to be seen. |
